Juan Gracia is a director and producer, who has spent over a decade developing his filmmaking practice in major cultural centers including Miami, Bogotá, Los Angeles, and Boston. His experimental short film A Lossless Divinity premiered as part of Art Basel Miami and his short Lotto Money was selected as a semi-finalist in the Miami Short Film Festival.
As a Colombian immigrant raised in the US, Juan endeavors to recontextualize traditional American narratives, and produce stories that encourage sincere reflection and discussion within an international audience.
Juan’s background spans fine arts as well as digital media. He emerged in the contemporary art world as the marketing lead at Cultured Magazine, a global publication dedicated to contemporary artists and exhibitions, where he worked on the development and circulation of press materials while navigating the evolving landscape of modern publishing.
Juan holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Florida International University and an MFA in Film and Media Arts from Emerson College. He currently serves as lead producer for Pronoia Entertainment.
